Artemesinin is the principal active ingredient of Artemesia annua herb, and is 300 times more powerful than the crude herb. Artemesinin was investigated by the World Health Organization for potential application as a treatment for drug-resistant malaria and other parasitical organisms. Researchers have found Artemesinin to be extremely effective, leading to its acceptance by clinicians as a treatment protocol for protozal and amoebic parasites. From Allergy Research Group.
