| Ayurvedic Formula Promotes Regularity |
|
This ancient Ayurvedic formula, known in India as Triphala, has been revered as a digestive system tonic and rejuvenative to promote regularity without irritation. The combination of Indian fruits seems to have synergistic effects, and, unlike other laxatives, Trifal is mild, promoting regularity without irritating the bowels. Those who use Trifal report a natural regularity, as opposed to the forced bowel evacuation that may be experienced with other laxative foods.
The recipe for this traditional herbal supplement dates back 5,000 years and is referenced in the traditional Indian texts Charak and Sushrut Samhita. Trifal is considered a Rasayan, having restorative and balancing effects on the three constitutional elements that govern human life: Vat regulates the nervous system and controls processes, Pit maintains metabolic processes, and Kaph supports structural integrity.
